The Atlas of the Commons Assembly (Atlas dos Comunais) is a digital tool that allows common land communities to collectively produce and shape their own data. It aims to support practical actions for defending Galicia's common lands against extractivism and expropriation, both past and present, while reinforcing their future protection. Its archival function serves as a repository of the commons, documenting this practical and material heritage.

Structured as a digital platform, it relies on close collaboration with local residents, generating situated counter-cartographies and visualising their operational characteristics to support the management of the commons. The platform is a response to institutional neglect, to the lack of state resources for sustainable territorial management, and to the extractivist pressures, both systemic and historical, exerted on Galicia.

The project works with the comunidades de montes veciñais en man común (CMVMC), a longstanding, community-managed infrastructure that persists as an alternative to state management of territory, and stands as a symbol of resilience, regeneration, autonomy and self-governance. Combining digital cartography with local knowledge production, it visualises both the threats and the resilience practices present in the montes veciñais of Galicia. Using the format of the assembly, it contrasts institutional and independent data through in-person workshops and the digital space.
